Rally Protesting Against Anti-Hindu Violence Results in Vandalized Mosque

On Tuesday, October 26, shops and houses were attacked during a rally in Panisagar, the North Tripura of the Tripura district in India. A mosque was also vandalized during a rally by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). VHP, a right-wing non-political organization, was protesting the violence unfolding in Bangladesh.

Police & Protesters Killed as Far-Right Islamists Protest in Pakistan

Two policemen and two demonstrators were killed in a recent surge of violence in Pakistan. Rana Arif, a police spokesman, said two police officers were killed and another injured when protesters started throwing stones on Friday, October 22, 2021. Several demonstrators were also wounded during the ensuing violence.

British MP Assassinated, Murder Declared Act of Terrorism

On October 16, 2021, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon, the senior national coordinator for counter-terrorism policing, officially declared Sir David Amess's murder as an incident of terrorism. According to Haydon, the Metropolitan police's early investigation revealed "a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism."

"Disrespected" Quran Leads to Deadly Violence in Bangladesh

At least seven people were confirmed killed during the violence last week in the city of Cumilla in the Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. On Wednesday, October 13, the city government deployed paramilitary troops for the Durga Puja festival, a significant Hindu festival in Bangladesh. Four Muslims were killed on Wednesday after the police opened fire on the crowd.
