I forget the words but there are 2 basic typed of growth for new beings not counting plants or asexual reproduction.

Hey ive been wondering if they have tried making a silicon based version rather than carbon based. Ive always thought silicon based life should be possible.
More than possible. Much more durable in theory, actually... however, without the atomic wildcard that is carbon I don't see how such life would spontaneously be created in the same way ours was, and evolve as easily. Given enough time and exposure though, anything is possible. Silicon based life would be able to withstand completely different situations than we are, and therefore may be exposed to a more harsh environment where damage, regeneration, and variation would allow for evolution into a wide variety of different lifeforms like we see here on Earth. That'd be cool.
I spent a long time in biochem running simulations for situations like this. It's been a while since that part of my schooling though, and word on the street is that they now run physical simulations for application in wetware.
Personally, I don't see why we even limit our understanding of possible life to the physical realm, all things being possible and all.

Sorry man, I can think of many many things this game could go on forever especially with infinite universes. Trying to put myself in what we know of Greg's mind since you think he would get it faster than the rest of us and putting it in a negative direction I will venture one last guess. If there are infinite universes this would mean there would be universes where earth was completely ruled by people with Muslim belief. However that said, I think Mr. Pek would more likely think in a positive at least to him direction and be looking for a one way ticket to a universe where Mohammad was never born or better yet where people had moved past religion all together,

If there are an infinite number of universes anything with even a remote possibility must exist true? Well there is a remote possibility that a god could exist until proven otherwise. That would have to mean somewhere in all those universes there is a god.
You just know theists hearing this will say it confirms them 'we are that remote universe' their book proves their god and multiverse proves a god can exist.
Hey as a side note theres a new hypothesis that could explain how the big bang started we are the result of a black hole forming in another universe its about gravity and mass twisting space-time into a spiral and tearing a hole through it. Kinda like a twister shaped wormhole only not.
There is and has always been a possibility a god like being, universal condition, enviroment, creature, celestial body, ect.. could exists even in this single universe. The proof of existence of infinite universes or even just more would amplify all likelihoods and more than likely also the the possibilities that are not god like thus reduce the chance or probability any one particular version of a god was correct especially those that we are created in the likeliness of.
Just because infinite or parallel universes would magnify the probability of such a creature being or body existing does not confirm or prove the existence of a such a thing. but it would also magnify the odds such a being does not exist. I like many atheist would be willing to accept such a thing to exist if given actual solid proof. Anyone making the argument that this proves the existence of their god or even increases the chances of their god existing do not understand how things like actually work.
