By dictionary, I am defined as an atheist. I guess I am a semi-atheist, as I happen to be a strong believer in an afterlife, and nature. I just don't believe there is a grey-bearded man looking down at me from above, and i happen to believe "ON" CHRIST, but not "IN" CHRIST. (There is a difference)
My spritial beliefs can mostly be summed up with OBI-WAN KANOBI'S words, "LET THE FORCE BE WITH YOU."
I am a Naturalist, and an Evolutionist.
I believe in aliens (space aliens) and that they are now around, and likely have been around since long before modern humans evolved.
I would very much enjoy discussing, or debating the issue with anyone interested.

1) What is spirituality?
2) What's your faith in jesus & an afterlife based on?
3) What do you mean by you "believe space aliens are around,"?
Lets start there.
Spititual-- of or pertaining to the soul, non physical of te spirit. lifeforce,, etc.
I have no faith in Jesus, I believe he was a mortal man who martyred himself
for his cause, but was more or less a prophet. The afterlife is harde rto explain,
having to do with alternative universes, and the life force commonly breferred
to as the soul. and my own personal belief in a form of Heaven. I BELIEVE IN
UFOS and space Alienns and that they have been around perhaps since before
we became human. and Possibly having to do with alternattve universes.
"ON" CHRIST, but not "IN" CHRIST
What is the difference?
Christ is just a messiah, which is a man which is prophetised by the messianic prophecies of the Jew(after the Babylonian exile), that would come and redeem Israel and restore Israel to power in the world.
(which didn't happen yet)
Christian Christ is something else.
It is most likely a roman invention of counter propaganda what the Jews where spreading in their war against Rome during the Jewish - Roman wars.
If you are interested, this is how and why it happened:

According to this there is really nothing of value that can be taken from Jesus Christ.
Christianity is just a collection of religions and their theology in the roman empire that puts the emperor as divine or god.
Now, We seem to be on the same page, but I appear to be a bit more
charitable than you.
To believe in Christ is to believe he is a God Person, part of the trinity,
to believe on Christ is to believe as he believed In otherwwise believe in
christian principles (actually the same principals which most religions profess)
AS for me, I believe he was a mortal man, who martyred himself for his beliefs.
I don't know if you actually read or understood anything of what i said.
I was saying that Jesus Christs was a literal creation.
A character in a piece of literature.
There is no history to him, never was and never will be.
Just myth built on the idea of a man.
That is why they are so conflicting.
There is more evidence for him being invented then for him to ever exist.
- I understood, but i don't agree, and I posted what "I" believe to be true. OK?? I can't +
prove you are wrong, and I won't try. I wasn't there .However, there is some credence to what you say, as there was another "Christ likie figure" some 2000, years BC almost identical to the Story of Christ.) as stated in the ancient Hebrew texts.
You don't need to be there, to not believe that the flying spaghetti monster sightings claims and that they are most likely invented.
This world is ruled by what you can support with evidence, not by what is possible or impossible since we don't know what is possible or impossible.
Saying something like:
'I wasn't there"
Is just saying that it is still possible.
Like saying that it is still possible to find a Nokia mobile inside of a tree, since we haven't checked all the trees.
Yes, it is that stupid.
We base credence on evidence and on what we can demonstrate not what is possible.
It is unacceptable that when I say:
"There is more evidence for him being invented then for him to ever exist."
you reply:
"I wasn't there"
`Who the devil dom you think you ar thst you can tell me, or anyone else what to think, and/or say, or how to say it.??? If you don't like it, TUFF and who are these "WE" you are refering, to? Speak for yourself-- not some arbitrary "WE". and you hav no choice jut to "ACCEPT" it. If you want to talk about the issues rather than how Ianswer you, OK. otherwise you are simply wasting "OUR"time.
Well you are in a forum to debate something, not to say this is my belief and I can belief what i want.
We know that already and we don't care at all what you believe.
I showed you that "I wasn't there" answer does not answer the question, your belief has nothing to do with the argument.
You can belief what you want but you need to answer the question with logic, not belief to have a mature debate.
If you can make a mature debate fine, if not, you are the one wasting our time.
Speak for yourself instead of the ficticious ''we", and "YOU" and I might have a conversaion. If you don't care what I believe then don't ask. I am here to make a point and to describe what I believe, not to argue with you. or kowtow to your every whim. and again, I will not answer to your "WE", but only to"YOU" (maybe)
believe*
So what is this thing called the soul? How is it detected, measured, and tested? How does it defy death?
Do you believe aliens have been on this planet? What types of aliens are you talking about?
In anwer to both of your posts.
Number one, I believe it is the life force, that it mantains your mentaliyt, (thoughts so to speaK) and no one have ever found a way to test or measure it. but logically, at least to me, it is there, and since I have been contacted by three differnt entities fron the beyond, I an extrenmely convinced they are present and real.
qYes, I believe in Space aliens, I have never met one, but I certainly wish I could, by description, I can only go by reports and so-called eye witnesses. So my only answer to your last question, is check out the stories for yourself.
1) You believe the soul "is the life force, that it mantains your mentaliyt, (thoughts so to speaK) ." By that definition you are talking about your brain, which is measurable and testable.
2) Witness accounts without corroborating evidence? Do you think that it enough to justify such an extraordinary claim?
"I would very much enjoy discussing, or debating the issue with anyone interested."
this is fine
"describe what I believe"
Everybody believes something, unless you support your claims I am not interested, neither does any other person who is here for "discussing, or debating".
I never asked what you believe, I do not care.
You can "discussing, or debating" only where you can bring some logic or evidence to the table.
Don't tell me about someone elses interests or thoughts, or feelings, Speack for yourself. and yu are very wrong when you say you can't discuss or debate somehing wihout proof or logic, to wit: We could discuss or debate Mickey mouse if we wished. However:
My posting an/or discussion methods, or your's are not open for further discussion. PERIOD
If you want to discuss something on the listed agenda fine. we can do that, Otherwise, WE ARE DONE
Tho I must add that your manner and attitude do absolutely anything to impress me.
"yu are very wrong when you say you can't discuss or debate somehing wihout proof or logic,"
First of all it is evidence not proof, which makes the argument mean differently.
"We could discuss or debate Mickey mouse if we wished."
Second of all, NO we cannot "discuss or debate Mickey mouse" if you do not bring logical arguments or any evidence to the table.
I am not interested in talking to someone that cannot even make sens, neither is any other sane person.
Logic is vital for a discussion.
"My posting an/or discussion methods, or your's are not open for further discussion. PERIOD"
Do as you wish, I do not care, but you won't get any serious discussion if you make claims without any kind of logic or evidence.
Thus no discussion.
Thus you would contradict what you said in the OP.
Present some evidence or logic that supports all the claims you believe about Jesus existence?
Up until now, when I asked for evidence or logic, your only reply was personal attacks.
Show me that you can make a decent discussion not just make unsupported claims.
THAT's ALL, **********************************
Jeff: "Everybody believes something, unless you support your claims I am not interested, neither does any other person who is here for "discussing, or debating"
LN: I am one of the 'other persons' here for discussion or debate. Quit speaking for me, Jeff. You do not have my permission to do so. I suspect you haven't obtained permission from all the other posters at AR to speak on their behalf so I find your use of the word 'we' to be inappropriate at best. Additionally, I'm pretty sure that unless you were made board moderator or assumed ownership of this site, you don't set the rules for these rooms.
You are not here for discussing the subject he brought up about Jesus existence, so I am not speaking about you.
(you haven't replied to him yet)
"We" refers to the guys that replied to him up to that point.
Though it is nice to see how biased can you be against me.
:)
Out of curiosity, is there any question I have not answered to yiu, as Jeff has suggested thereis? If so, I would like to answer thsat question. I don't recall one.
doniston
I happen to be a strong believer in an afterlife, and nature. I just don't believe there is a grey-bearded man looking down at me from above
Afterlife in the sense..??
I happen to believe hat when a person dies, his or her life force (some call it a soul) accends to another rhelm, of conciousness, (perhaps an alternate existance right here which conicides with the earth,) As I have been visitrd by three separate endities who have passed on, I beleieve the mentality of the person is part of that life force, and tho it is not physical, (by what we call imagination, and might actually be memories) the departed can experience any manner of pleasure which the imagination can conjur up. this would become the absolute Heaven to anyone.
In the thread I have just posted, and a subsequent forcoming one, you can read more . Whether or not you "Believe", I hope you will enjoy.
I was contacted by an three separate "endities" last night and they told me you were never contacted.
It was a secret. they were swarn not to tell.
