Especially since he was excommunicated through help of an abortion. Married in church isn't this against the rules? Or does the collection basket forgive that sin?
Marriage not to the person he forced abortion upon.
When you say "forced abortion upon" A. how do you know he did this? B. How was it done? Was she verbal;y assaulted threatened or physically abused to the point of miscarriage? It rarely called an abortion when this is the case. Or do you to mean he told her quite frankly to get an abortion and she did?
???
I think the confusion here is there used to be more content in the OP to this topic. If I recall correctly there was mention or Words alluding to infidelity and an abortion (Big Sin) The Original Poster is asking if he should report it ... to the Church...Personally I think its none of his business and why would he report it if it were not for teh reasons of hate or spite. Sure the guy goes around pretending to be a religious guy, but in reality cheated on his wife, got the mistress pregnant and then aborted the baby and that make him a a sinner multiple in multiple ways in the eyes of the church I think and at least one of those sins is a mortal Sin (Big Sin) but really what business is any of this to the person posting this topic? How does he even know all this? Even if he's heard it from multiple sources it may still be untrue.
Even if it is true then as far as the church is concerned this is between this guy, the church, his wife, his mistress, and whatever their version of God is. It really should not have anything to do with anyone else. Perhaps all these parties already know. really though as far as the rest of the people attending whatever church this is though, it's none of their business. I say let nature take its course what goes around comes around let this guy keep doing what he does and if he does not change his ways the truth will come out eventually.
All said though, if the poster does decide to out this guy then he should consider out this guy may effect the wife who may have done nothing to deserve this and the mistress, (does the guy have any children with his wife?) all these people could be effected. Rarely does outing someone to a religious community result in only that person being effected.
Touché Z.
Dosent the wife have a right to know her husbands a cheating slimeball who cares about telling the church tell the wife.
I thought this thread was going to be some good gossip about the Pope. ;)
The only thing that will happen if the BIG sinner is reported to the church is they'll forgive him. One must be very careful when reporting another to the church. The person in the church you're telling about this could be guilty of the exact same sin - or an even BIGGER sin.
It's like reporting police brutality to the police force. Useless :(
Thanks for the advice.
Not all Catholics are like what some of you have known. There are many Catholics who are dedicated in being good and value the faith that they have. There are still lot of Catholics who are doing there best to live the life of a real Christian as Jesus have taught in the bible.
