I'm excited to see what kind of responses you receive here. I can't think of any fairy tale gods, but my background is mostly in Grimm fairy tales. It's odd, but I don't think there are any gods in those tales. Do wizards and wicked queens count? There are probably other fairy tales that have gods.
When i say "Fairy tale gods", i mean every god that human kind has made up.
Like zeus, satan, bast, amun ra, thor, u name it ;)
I personally like Thor, the ancient deity, not the movie!
Wow, that reminds me that I completely forgot to see the second Thor movie! I wonder if it's still in theaters...
I can only think of one fairy tale god and that is Zeus.
I like the story of Hercules and also I think Zeus was mentioned on mermaid stories too. :P

I think the story of Isis and Osirus is quite interesting for me. They had been compared to Mary and Osirus because they are mother and son but they also became man and wife so it really made the tale so complex and interesting overall.
Without a doubt, Osirus is interesting.
All the gods are amuzing to me. At least we no longer have a sociey filled with people that believe in the god of thunder, the god of love, the god of war, etc. THis used to be the norm but people have opened their eyes to how ridiculous that was. Hopefuly a few hundred years from now all relgious doctrines will be considered obsolete and ridiculous.
Lets hope one day the human race has cleansed their mind of believing in gods. Its time to get rid of this brain disease once and for all and kill religion. Its fucking hilarious how stupid religious people are.

You seem to be generalizing about religious people. Are there any in particular that you feel are especially stupid? History has shown us that religious leaders may be misguided, but they are some of the most intelligent people on the planet. Just look at the stories they have convinced people everywhere to not only believe, but to support as well. I am not a very religious person, but I would never feel the need to attack those who either verbally or physically as you suggest. As humans, we are all free to do and say what we want. Just as you are free to speak your mind, religious people are free to believe what they want.

I wonder how today's society would fare if we did have the ancient gods. We could have the God of Technology and the God of Television or maybe the God of Inequality and Idiocy. Any others?
I was going to say Odin but in response to your comment I have to ask have you read American Gods yet? Great book! In it the gods of old are getting killed off by by the new gods the internet being one of my favorite and first ones you meet. Odin is featured in American Gods as well and I think I still find him one of my favorite fantazy gods along with Thor who is also in American Gods.
