Dying is a harsh way to learn such a lesson.
It's simply a case of a member of the priestly caste believing his own humbug. That as a member of said caste he has special power to mediate with and propitiate god or indeed to get god to do things as the result of some ritual . The Catholics have taken the biscuit for that for centuries.

I've been expecting some of the evangelicals at least to start claiming the virus is God's punishment for their favourite sin .EG gays, general fornication, abortion, not tithing, voting Democrat. etc

The most fucked up thing about this is that the pastor is going to be 80% correct. 80% of the people who catch the virus have no issues at all with it. The other 14% will get deathly ill, go to the hospital and respond successfully to prayer. As for the other 6% .... well..... you know. God works in mysterious ways!

Isn't that a tautology? The word "pastor" inherently means a crazy religious person. Since "pastor" originally meant "shepherd", perhaps we can expand the definition to a "crazy religious person who makes his living by fleecing sheep".
I have no problem with these idiots infecting each other. The problem is they are going to go out & spread the virus in the rest of the community. They should all be forced to stay home for the next 14 days, with a huge fine if they break quarantine.
