Daniel Walter Kenning was charged Tuesday with intentional murder in the second degree for killing a woman, according to a Stearns County criminal complaint. St. Cloud police also identified the victim as 45-year-old Jennifer Lee Moy of Blaine. Kenning fatally strangled Jennifer in his basement after “God told him” to do that. After killing the woman, he told authorities that he was acting on God’s orders. Kare 11 reports:

According to the complaint, Kenning told police he had met the women “previously at a wedding and that they had recently communicated on Facebook Messenger.”

In a statement to an investigator, Kenning said he picked the woman up the night before and drove her to his home. The complaint said Kenning told police he “tied (the woman’s) legs and handcuffed her arms to a table.” He then admitted to intentionally strangling the woman “with one hand until she died.”

According to the complaint, Kenning told the investigator that “God told him he needed to kill someone and that he would be able to resurrect them.” Kenning also said he was “supposed to” kill the woman while they were together the previous weekend, but “could not do it at that time.”

Kenning faces a maximum sentence of 40 years’ imprisonment.

Resurrection is the concept of coming back to life after death. In a number of ancient religions, a dying-and-rising god is a deity which dies and resurrects. The death and resurrection of Jesus, an example of resurrection, is the central focus of Christianity. The problem is that the Bible does not say - THE WARNING: Do not try this at home.

Kenning’s neighbors said the murder came as shock to them. "Shocked is the right word, I guess," said Hub Levandowski, who lives across the street from a house where authorities say the body of a 45-year-old Blaine woman was found Saturday.
