A 31-year-old woman, Nadejda Reilly, tried to test her faith and see if God would help her survive driving into oncoming traffic. Investigators say that Reilly was allegedly driving along Route 93 on January 7th and awaiting a calling from God when she decided to slam into another vehicle in the Weatherly area of Carbon County, Pennsylvania. After she caused a crash, she exhibited no concern about the people who were injured in the crash, state police said. Two innocent people were hurt and taken to the hospital. Reilly has been charged with aggravated assault “and other offenses.”

As the Philadelphia CBS Local reports, an investigator said Reilly told him she had been driving around for a few hours and then she decided to drive through the oncoming vehicle.

“Reilly related God took care of her by not having her injured,” wrote Trooper Bruce Balliet in an arrest affidavit. “Reilly expressed no concern or remorse for the victims. Reilly also stated she did not care if the other people were injured because God would have taken care of them.”

The text from Billy Graham Evangelistic Association explains that God knows how strong our faith is, but unfortunately, we are not aware of it until hard times happen and that’s why He must test people’s faith.

The part of that text reads: None of us like to go through hard times (and God isn’t necessarily behind them, even if He does allow them). But God can use them to show us our weaknesses. And when that happens, we need to ask God to help our faith grow. Testing should make us spiritually stronger — and it will as we turn it over to God. The Bible says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials … so that you may be mature and complete.” (James 1:2, 4)

Perhaps Evangelists could be wise enough to provide instructions for testing an individual's faith - to test the believer’s faith in an isolated place to prevent silly and dangerous behavior that can hurt people.
