Conservative television host Eric Bolling expressed his absolute disgust for President Barack Obama’s comments regarding the Crusades and the Inquisition earlier this month, saying exactly zero people have been killed in the name of every other religion except Islam.
While speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, Obama had said Christians do not have to get on a high horse about radical Islam, as terrible deeds have been committed in the name of Christianity as well. He went on to cite the Crusades as well as the Inquisition to justify his remark. Quite naturally, conservatives criticized Obama, saying the president had failed to address threats imposed by radical Islamic terrorists in modern times by unnecessarily invoking the dark days from Christianity’s history instead.
Bolling accused Obama of not only crossing the line, but pole-vaulting over the line.
“Reports say radical Muslim jihadists killed thousands of people in the past few months alone. And yet when you take Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, whatever, their combined killings in the name of religion––well, that would be zero,” he said.
In conclusion, Bolling said Obama’s comments have deeply offended Christians and he owes them a sincere apology.
