An Iraqi Islamic leader claimed that the Israeli Mossad used a prostitute in the 7th century to kill the first Shia Imam, adding that the Israeli-Jewish intelligence agencies use money and women to achieve their goals.
Several Iraqi Twitter accounts posted a video of Qais Al-Khazali making these claims while speaking in public. Al-Khazali is the leader of the Asaib Ahl Al-Haqq, a radical Iraqi Shia political party and paramilitary group backed by Iran.

The US State Department had designated this group as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), while Al-Khazali and his brother, Laith Al-Khazali, were categorized as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT) under Executive Order 13224 signed by the Bush administration.
In his speech, Al-Khazali claimed that the Israeli Mossad, which was first established in December 1949, orchestrated the assassination of Ali Ibn Abi Talib or Imam Ali, the first imam in Shia Islam, in January 661 CE through a prostitute named Qatam.
Why was he buying hookers?

"Qatam was a prostitute. What had been the modus operandi of the Israeli-Jewish intelligence agency? What do we know about them? How do they get their sources?” Al-Khazali said.
“It is either through money or through women. Right? In this case, it was a woman. There is no doubt that she worked for the Israeli Mossad back then, and through her, they recruited [Imam Ali's killer]. Abd Al-Satan Ibn Criminal,” he added, referring to Abd al-Rahman ibn Muljam, a Kharijite who struck Imam Ali with a poison-coated sword during a morning prayer.
Al-Khazali also blamed the Jews for the deaths of Imam Ali’s sons, Hussein ibn Ali and Hasan ibn Ali. He also said that the Umayyads, a Muslim dynasty that reportedly descended from a relative of the Prophet Muhammad, collaborated with the Jews. Similar to Imam Ali, the religious leader claimed that the Jews were able to assassinate Hasan using a woman.
“They assassinated Hasan, the son of [Imam] Ali, and they did this by using a woman. The Umayyads were mere collaborators with the Jews.” Al-Khazali said. “Then they assassinated Imam Hussein. It was the same perpetrators, only they used different people.”
Shame on you Jews. You invented time travel and you are hiding it from the world.

Contrary to Al-Khazali’s claims, the cause of Hasan ibn Ali’s death remains uncertain. While most sources claim he was poisoned, some suggest he died due to illness. As for Hussein ibn Ali, he was killed by Umayyad soldiers during the Battle of Karbala, where he fought against Umayyad forces under Yazid I.
