Roughly a year after a provocative statue of Satan emerged out of nowhere in East Vancouver, another eye-grabbing effigy made a surprise appearance in the city last month.
In September 2014, a racy red-toned devil, sporting a massive erection, sprang up near Clark Drive Sky Train Station and nobody seemed to know who had installed it there. Officials had it pulled down almost immediately, after clarifying that the effigy had not been officially commissioned by the City of Vancouver.
Last month however, another effigy of the devil popped up in East Vancouver – this time white-toned and pregnant. It was spotted on top of a residential building at Main and Kingsway though city officials ensured that it was taken down immediately.
No one claimed responsibility for this effigy either and the origin of both devils continues to remain a mystery among locals.
