A Muslim woman and her daughter in Australia provoked anger among Hindus after a video of them dumping a used menstrual pad that reeks of urine on a Hindu religious statue went viral on social media.
The now-viral video was uploaded on TikTok by @eshana_autar and was also shared on X (previously known as Twitter), YouTube, and other social media platforms. In the footage, two Muslim women living in Sydney wearing burqas were seen putting a used menstrual pad and wet tissues on the religious statue of their Hindu neighbor, who installed security cameras near the statue.

@eshana_autar also said in their video that the women also spat on the statue, and they drew red on the pads to mimic blood. However, some social media users, like X user @Prosecutor1012, claimed the two women also stained their Hindu neighbor’s doors and walls with menstrual blood. The video also showed the feces they claimed the two Muslim women threw and smeared on their door.
The Shivling, also called Lingam by Hindus, is widely seen as an abstract, sacred representation of the Hindu god Shiva, especially in Shaivism, which worships Shiva as the Supreme Being. In Islam, any form of idol worship is considered a grave sin called Shirk, and associating partners with God or engaging in idolatry is prohibited under the Islamic doctrine of Tawhid or oneness.
Many Indian users were outraged at the actions of the two Muslim women, and they took to Twitter to air their rage at the act.
“Be it women, children, or men who believe in Islam, you will find all of them hating other religions.” wrote Izlamic Terrorist (@raviagrawal3) on the social media platform X. “Imagine if other religions had done similar work with them?”
Another X user, Mr Sinha (@MrSinha_), wrote and said that “In Australia, a Muslim woman was seen putting a menstrual pad on Shivling... Which Hindu possession or Bajrang Dal provoke her there?”
“Islamists are same everywhere, their hate towards non believers is also the same…” Mr Sinha added.
Clear evidence of threats by these Muslim neighbours on their Hindu neighbours. What is @nswpolice doing about this ? @SarahLGates1 pic.twitter.com/iNcgXBHcPM

But the drama between the Hindu (identified as Shania and uses the Tiktok account @eshana.autar) and Muslim (identified as Farrah and uses the TikTok usernames @user1755690412911 and @user3894973839292) neighbors didn't stop there. Eshana Autar continued to upload videos on her TikTok account documenting her continuing feud with their Muslim neighbors. In one video, she even showed a photo with a description saying that her neighbors kicked off their Tulsi plant, a sacred symbol among Hindus, along with a short footage of the Muslim mother throwing a used menstrual pad at their Hindu neighbors.
As for Farrah, while she uploaded an apology video on her main TikTok account (@user1755690412911) and was shared by some Indian netizens, the video cannot be found as of August 15th. She also uploaded videos where she accused Shania of being “racist” towards their religion. She also posted a TikTok, where Shania was seen “mocking” the hijab.
What you did as a Muslim to Hindus was disgraceful and very common amongst certain Muslims due to the hate for anyone who prays to Murtis (Idols). Now one is left with the question, where does this hate for Idol worshippers come from ? P.s. your apology is not accepted. pic.twitter.com/D1JOoWsU2X
