There are beautiful religious places in this world and aside from the fact that they are visited commonly by theist, they are really astounding and worth seeing. As an atheist, will you spend time and money to visit these places (Vatican, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Rome, etc..)?

No !
Nope, not in my interest. Though, they may be beautiful, the thing they are associated with are ridiculous. There is no reason to spend my money going somewhere that, its beliefs, I despise and do not approve with based on whatever rational reasoning. When I myself, can step outside and observe nature, the simplicity of human selflessness, the text written by the greatest minds, etc. The things I find beautiful, rather than something thats basis, in my opinion and others, a fairytale.
"Religious Places" ...?
Vatican, Fabled burial site of St.Peter.
Only there are no contemporary written records and no archaeological evidence.
Jerusalem, Fabled capital of the Davidic Empire of Israel.
Only there are no contemporary written records and no archaeological evidence.
Bethlehem, Prophesied site of the nativity.
Only there are no contemporary written records and no archaeological evidence. Plus the prophesy was manufactured.
Rome, Fabled site of the persecution of thousands of early Christian martyrs.
Only there are no contemporary written records and no archaeological evidence.
Theism holds no monopoly on beauty. Art by human kind transcends whatever god you happen to buy into. One may be fascinated as much by hindu architecture as by the Sistine chapel no matter your faith or lack of it.
Wouldnt visit the vatican it has the highest crime rate of any country lol
I would love to visit those sites to appreciate their beauty, structure, art and age not just because of their religious culture.
Yea I would visit those places if I had money to spend.
Btw they are not only religious places, they are part of the human history, some are part of the bad side of human history but they are still history.
That alone makes them important to visit.
